Drug Reaction with Eosinophilia and Systemic Symptoms (DRESS) Defined
DRESS is an idiosyncratic, life-threatening reaction to a medication characterized by both skin and internal organ involvement. It may be associated with a fever and presents with a high eosinophil count on blood testing. Symptoms usually occur only a few weeks after exposure to a particular medication.
