Introduction
Ocular allergies are extremely common, affecting up to 80 million people in the U.S. Allergic conjunctivitis alone is estimated to impact nearly 25% of the population. Yet few continuing medical educational programs have focused on ocular allergies. In an effort to bridge this gap, the AAAAI brought together a diverse team of healthcare experts to develop Compass: New Directions in the Treatment of Allergic Conjunctivitis and Related Disorders. The information presented in Compass will help primary healthcare professionals explore and develop appropriate diagnosis, treatment and management plans that can enhance the quality of life for their patients who suffer from ocular allergies.

Acknowledgements
Compass was originally presented as an interactive 3-hour, continuing medical education (CME) credit-bearing dinner seminar, supported through an unrestricted educational grant from Alcon Laboratories.
