Baroody, MD FAAAAI Staff Liaison: Krista Perkins, kperkins@aaaai.org Scope: The Immunotherapy, Rhinitis, Sinusitis, Ocular diseases & Cough Interest Section's focus is on the pathogenesis, prevalence, diagnosis and management of rhinitis, sinusitis and hypersensitivity ocular disorders. This section includes allergy diagnostics and immunotherapy as well as the diagnosis and treatment of non-allergic rhinitis and sinusitis. Fungal induced sinus disease is also covered in this section. Ophthalmic conditions secondary to allergic, physical, vasculitic and autoimmune disorders is included in this section. IRSOC Interest Section Committees Cough Immunotherapy, Allergen Standardization & Allergy Diagnostics Rhinitis, Rhinosinusitis & Ocular allergy Interest Section Committees Each committee has at least three members and generally no more than 30 members. All committees are made up exclusively of AAAAI members, however, non-members may be asked to participate in a committee meeting or provide expert counsel on a certain issue. The role of Interest Section committees is to facilitate the exchange of information among and between Interest Section members, consider any need to establish standards in the field, and conduct appropriate, approved research projects. All AAAAI members are eligible to serve on any Interest Section Committee regardless of their status as an Interest Section voting member. However, they may not serve on more than three Interest Section Committees at the same time. For a list of Division and Interest Section committees, click here.
