February 12, 20102010 Report of Members' Educational Needs
To assess the educational needs of AAAAI members in 2010, members of the Needs Assessment Committee have again turned to the topic list used by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology as a framework. This topic list, which is the basis for the Certification and Recertification examinations, is developed by the experts serving on the ABAI to identify the key content areas in which an allergist/immunologist would be expected to demonstrate competence. In addition to the scientific topics addressed by the ABAI, additional topics addressing practice management and healthcare systems and economics were also included.
