Members Primary Care Rotations Program: Resources for Teaching Allergists
Teaching Curriculum
The Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology Elective for Residents and Medical Students was created by the AAAAI Primary Care Rotations in Allergy and Pierson Visitation Program Task Force and updated in February 2005. This clinical rotation curriculum was designed to introduce rotators to allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology. It includes the most common chronic diseases that affect both children and adults, including asthma, rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, anaphylaxis, drug reactions, food reactions, urticaria, etc. This elective is most helpful for medical students in their third or fourth year rotation and for residents in family practice, pediatrics, or internal medicine.
