School Science Projects - Food & Cooking

Nuts Looking for an idea for a science project that involves food and cooking? Here are a few ideas to help:

  1. Educate your class about food allergies. Explain to them:
  2. MilkCreate a poster with pictures of common foods to be aware of.
  3. Create a mini cookbook with alternative recipes for people with food allergies.
  4. Make a diagram showing why the body has an allergic reaction, and what happens during the reaction.
  5. Show a video telling about food allergies similar to the one found here.

For more information on food allergies, visit the AAAAI Patient Gallery or the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN).
