Established in 1943, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) represents allergists, clinical immunologists and others with an interest in the field of allergic disease. Over 6,500 members in more than 70 countries comprise the AAAAI. Our mission is the advancement of the knowledge and practice of allergy, asthma and immunology. One key means to achieving this goal is through public education and outreach.
The Speakers' Bureau of the AAAAI links you and your community programs with experts on the diagnosis, treatment and/or management of allergic disease. Common forums include school and PTA meetings, association meetings, health organization gatherings and health fairs. Commonly requested topics include managing pediatric asthma, preventing allergies in newborns, recognizing exercise induced asthma, reducing allergens in the home and others.
The Speakers' Bureau consists of AAAAI members who are either allied health staff (such as Nurse Practitioners or Clinical Research Coordinators) or Members/Fellows (typically allergists-MDs who completed their medical training in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics and went on to do 2-3 years of specialized training in Allergic Disease).
The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology is dedicated to providing optimal patient care to the over 50 million Americans suffering from some form of allergic disease. We thank you for looking to AAAAI as a key source of information for your group.
Any questions about the Speakers' Bureau should be directed to Carrye Jo Cony at the AAAAI executive office by calling (414) 272-6071 or by emailing cjcony@aaaai.org.
