Major Goals of Training Program
The goal of the program is to prepare specialists in allergy-immunology to provide excellent, expert medical care for patients of all ages with allergic and immunologic diseases, to be allergy-immunology consultants, clinician-educators, and to be lifelong learners staying abreast of developments in the field.

This is a totally integrated Pediatric/Internal Medicine program, providing experience with patients of all ages throughout the entire fellowship.

Fellows are expected to participate actively in the academic life of the institution, to conduct clinical and bench research projects, to make presentations at state, regional and national meetings, and to prepare peer-reviewed publications.

There is major research emphasis is on development of asthma in children, allergic fungal sinusitis, and allergen characterization. Fellows are also encouraged to develop their own interests and projects.
