Pay for Performance (P4P) will impact allergists in the coming years with regard to their reimbursement & clinical services. In an effort to prepare allergists for this changing landscape the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) and the Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (JCAAI) have established a Joint Task Force on Quality and Performance Measures to insure that allergists participate in making the best practice decisions & setting the standards by which allergy care will be judged.

This presentation was designed to provide allergists with a basic understanding of Pay for Performance, how it may change their practice, and the things the Joint Task Force are doing to advocate for their interests.

The Pay for Performance presentation was developed by Michael Blaiss, MD and Michael Schatz, MD MS, Co-chairs of the Joint Task Force on Quality and Performance Measures and Donald W. Aaronson, MD, Executive Director of JCAAI.
